Josef’s Life in the Jungle

My friend, Lindsey had her baby Josef  on February 8th, but it was quilt retreat weekend.  Since then I have been fighting a cold, then a sinus infection, and then the flu.  (It has been a great couple of weeks around here.)  I didn’t want to infect or spread any of the crap to mommy,  baby, or big sister, Louisa.  I have to admit that it has been hard to stay away.  I finally got to see mommy at a friend’s baby shower, but Josef wasn’t feeling well.  Hopefully, I will get a chance to meet the new little bundle this week.  I have lots of plans for spring break!

Here is the quilt I made for Josef:

I love the jungle animals.  The monkeys are my favorite!

Pattern:  Little Steps by Cluck Cluck Sew

Fabric:  Riley Blake Life in the Jungle

Backing:  Dark Gray Fireside

Quilting Pattern:  Geometric Maze

P.S.  I will try to get a better full size photo.  My quilt holder went into work earlier than expected.  I wasn’t willing to get up then to take a picture.  Plus there should be a picture of Josef in his cuddly new quilt.

About My Pieced Life

I am in love with all things quilting. My sewing room has many works-in-progress and a large stash of fabric. I have big plans and lots of ideas of creations I would like to make. My wonderful husband supports my obsession and Carson, my Australian terrier, keeps me company while I sew.
