English Paper Piecing Hexie kit

I’ve been looking at Tula Pink’s Hexie kits for months now.  My thinking is that I would have some time to do handiwork while I wait in airports or train stations while traveling.  Her kits are sooo cute, but I wasn’t too excited about the fabric choices that are still available.

I decided I needed to make my own kit!  I have more than enough fabric, thread, needles, and English Paper Piecing hexagons.

Moda Candy:  Bunny Hill’s Winter Wonderland, Sweetwater’s Noteworthy & Wishes, Aneela Hoey’s Posey

The Moda company was very smart about making these Moda Candy size fabric packs.  Before they couldn’t use the ends after cutting layer cakes and charm packs.  Another row of candy gave them more to sell and less scrap bags!  With that being said, I haven’t purchased any of these, they were all gifted to me in fabric orders.  Yay, for me!  Perfect for hexies!

All packed up and ready for travel!

All packed and ready to go!  How cute it that?  Next up, watching a few videos on You Tube on how to English Paper Piecing.  I am pretty confident that I can figure this out!  I’ve learned how to  sew, quilt, paper piece, and long arm quilt in the past 4 years.

About My Pieced Life

I am in love with all things quilting. My sewing room has many works-in-progress and a large stash of fabric. I have big plans and lots of ideas of creations I would like to make. My wonderful husband supports my obsession and Carson, my Australian terrier, keeps me company while I sew.
