Is there a fabric line that you dream of?

For me that is Tula Pink’s Plume.  It debuted long before I became a quilter.  Moda released Plume in the fall of 2009.  (Since then, Tula Pink has become a Free Spirit fabric designer.)

I love the line, but of course at this point it is out of print and hard to find.  If you do find any of the line, it is quite pricey.  Believe me, I have thought long and hard about this.

Moda Plume Jelly Roll

There was a Plume jelly roll available on Instagram’s #thegreatfabricdestash for $80.    Once in a while you can find a fat quarter bundle on Etsy or ebay, but they are usually pricey and get purchased quickly.

The birds are my favorite and of course, the most rare to find.

Isn’t that fabric beautiful?  I have decided to admire it from afar.  To actually start collecting this fabric line, I would have to spend some serious internet time searching.  It would also cost more than I am used to paying for fabric.   (Have I mentioned that I am a bargain shopper for fabric?)

I keep thinking that I could fill the rest with solids.  That would keep the cost down, right?   Is it crazy to spend that much on fabric?!?  Quilting isn’t a cheap hobby.  I spend more than I should.  Don’t we all?

Is there a dream fabric that you wish would be reprinted?

About My Pieced Life

I am in love with all things quilting. My sewing room has many works-in-progress and a large stash of fabric. I have big plans and lots of ideas of creations I would like to make. My wonderful husband supports my obsession and Carson, my Australian terrier, keeps me company while I sew.

Neptune! But I am lucky, at least I got two different patterns. But to be honest, I like Salt Water more. I just want to have em ALL! And yes, I do spend too much money on fabric. 😉
But “someone” send me some Nightshade, even with the women, there is no chance to finde these somewhere, especialliy not in Germany. I do not want to cut it – just have a look at it :-)))
If I did find some plume – I would be happy to I send it to you!
