For me that is Tula Pink’s Plume. It debuted long before I became a quilter. Moda released Plume in the fall of 2009. (Since then, Tula Pink has become a Free Spirit fabric designer.)
I love the line, but of course at this point it is out of print and hard to find. If you do find any of the line, it is quite pricey. Believe me, I have thought long and hard about this.
There was a Plume jelly roll available on Instagram’s #thegreatfabricdestash for $80. Once in a while you can find a fat quarter bundle on Etsy or ebay, but they are usually pricey and get purchased quickly.
The birds are my favorite and of course, the most rare to find.
Isn’t that fabric beautiful? I have decided to admire it from afar. To actually start collecting this fabric line, I would have to spend some serious internet time searching. It would also cost more than I am used to paying for fabric. (Have I mentioned that I am a bargain shopper for fabric?)
I keep thinking that I could fill the rest with solids. That would keep the cost down, right? Is it crazy to spend that much on fabric?!? Quilting isn’t a cheap hobby. I spend more than I should. Don’t we all?
Is there a dream fabric that you wish would be reprinted?
