What to do? Cherry Christmas whites…

I didn’t think I was a perfectionist.  I would say that I am particular.  So here is the dilemma…

My Cherry Christmas quilt has a mix of fabrics.  I had made most of the quilt prior to a quilt retreat.  I didn’t bring my bolt of white with, so Julie gave me some yardage.  The problem is that her fabric was bright white instead of my usual Moda 9900-97.  I didn’t notice it in the bad lighting of the hotel conference room.  Do I take the center blocks out and re-sew in new 6½ inches blocks that are the correct color?  Or do I just let it go?  Am I the only one who would notice?  Am I being a perfectionist?

About My Pieced Life

I am in love with all things quilting. My sewing room has many works-in-progress and a large stash of fabric. I have big plans and lots of ideas of creations I would like to make. My wonderful husband supports my obsession and Carson, my Australian terrier, keeps me company while I sew.

I like it as is 🙂

  2. It’s more interesting with them different. I would leave them.

I would let it go! The brighter white makes the quilt top more scrappy looking and, hey, it’s a Christmas quilt…the mix of whites works!

Just go with it…unless it really really really bugs you.
