2015 Quilty Goals

I am going for a much more streamlined approach to my quilty goals!  I had too many goals last year and wasn’t the most focused!

  1. Complete 12 UFOs:

I have way too many WIPs (works in progress/unfinished objects). All People Quilt is having a 2015 UFO Challenge on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter using the hashtag: #APQResolution. I am going to challenge myself, in the hope that less projects will be cluttering up my sewing room.

  1.  Sew My Stash:

I have plenty of fabric in my stash that has been earmarked for quilts/projects.  I can’t admire the fabric when it is stashed in a box versus being used as a quilt or bag.  I will be posting progress on my blog and under the Instagam hashtag: #SewMyStash2015

  1.  Make a few bags/totes/baskets:

The concept of 3D sewing is hard for me to visualize.  I have a love affair with tote bags.  You can always use another bag, right?  I have purchased many patterns and have plenty of fabric for these projects.  Zippers will be a new skill for me to learn!

  1. Learn to use my new machine!

I purchased a 750QE Bernina in August.  I have a lot to learn as a new Bernina girl.  There are so many features to learn.  I have been watching videos on how best to utilize all of my new sewing options.  I am a bit of a chicken, I have yet to take my Bernina Stitch Regulator out of the box!

About My Pieced Life

I am in love with all things quilting. My sewing room has many works-in-progress and a large stash of fabric. I have big plans and lots of ideas of creations I would like to make. My wonderful husband supports my obsession and Carson, my Australian terrier, keeps me company while I sew.

Oh – I love all your fabric walls and shelves! I also bought the diveded basket pattern – the social tote, actually I don’t even know… oh my gosh… I need help *haha* – Patterns are nearly as tempting as fabric 😉
Wish you good luck – and I am looking forward to seeing all of your finished 2015 projects! I think you already have had a super perfect start!
