The designers are really getting creative with their selvedge designs.

I wasn’t a saver until Julie showed me all sorts of cool selvedge projects.   Pinterest has a ton of cool project ideas.

Well, I will say that I am well on my way to having a ton of selvedge projects.  The jar was jam packed.  Just need to decide which selvedge project to add my to-do list!

About My Pieced Life

I am in love with all things quilting. My sewing room has many works-in-progress and a large stash of fabric. I have big plans and lots of ideas of creations I would like to make. My wonderful husband supports my obsession and Carson, my Australian terrier, keeps me company while I sew.

  1. Woah, that’s a lot of selvedges! I’m terrible at saving mine; I really should be more diligent when there are such lovely projects out there!

  2. Nice! I think I may start saving some 🙂

I haven’t thought about using them before. Thanks for bringing up this topic. 🙂 I like the tote and the scarf best. Jana

I am definitely a saver! At least of the pretty ones! I cut them 1.5″ wide so I have room to play!

  5. Eva says:

I do save, I have a cover for my sewing projects folder in mind. There the selvedges are pressed on a glue fleece (don’t know the correct name…) and then you fix ’em with colorful and crazy stitches. This also works with very narrow selvedges but I recognized that many nice projects need a little piece of fabric two, so I think Kathy’s idea is just great!
