Do you see this amazing fabric? I have had it in my possession, almost month prior to the actual release date!
Tula Pink gave lecture at Olive Juice Quilts in Onalaska, WI. She was there February 21st to promote the Tula Pink Bernina and her new fabric line, Elizabeth!
The Tula Pink machines are gorgeous! There is a bit of glitch getting them, the dock workers are on strike, so the machines are “in transit”. Somehow, Tula was able to get a few of the machines for the release party at Olive Juice Quilts. There was one left and she was taking that home. I really want one of these, I just don’t need the cuteness. I purchased a 750 QE Bernina in August. I was trying to justify a 3rd machine. Crazy, I know!! It would make such a cute traveling machine. My 750 QE is heavy and a bit of a beast to move. I can dream of getting the new Tula Pink Bernina though!
She had her Renaissance Ribbons, Downtown Housewife t-shirts, Aurifil Thread sets, Moon Shine fabrics & kits, and her new Elizabeth line!
We were able to purchase the Elizabeth fabric – we were allowed special permission. How exciting!! I hadn’t done any pre-sale purchases so I got in line right away!
I was a bit out of control! I purchased a half-yard bundle of the entire line.
Then I bought 2 -3 yard cuts of a few select pieces that I liked. The fat quarters were part of our welcome bag for the lecture.
The true splurge was the yardage of Elizabeth’s face in plum. I finished the bolt! I was feeling a bit greedy, but the other 2 Elizabeth faces didn’t sell out. There was plenty on the bolt.
I am really excited to cut into that bundle, but I can’t decide which pattern to use! I am tempted to make this quilt. These are the pictures I was able to take.
My pictures don’t do these quilts justice. The quilting is amazing!!! Angela Walters’ work is beautiful. I love the Tula wants to bring the quilts to show people and wants you to touch the fabric and quilting. It truly was an amazing experience to be able attend Tula’s lecture and get my hands on the beautiful Elizabeth line!
This might be my favorite stash purchase! How often are you able to buy the fabric from a designer? Not to mention, a month prior to the fabric release date!!! Off to decide which pattern will showcase the beautiful fabrics best.
